Goods Return Authority

Our Goods Return Authority process has been reviewed in line with our Standard Conditions of Supply.

Of particular concern are the requests to return damaged products that have been signed as “Received in Good Order and Condition”.

Supplied products as soon as practicable after delivery. Once a Proof of Delivery (POD) is signed by you as being “Received in Good Order and Condition”, any claims against the consignment that are beyond seven (7) days will be rejected to the extent permitted by law.

Therefore, your receiving staff must check each consignment for condition and correctness of quantity. Please note any errors or suspected damage on the POD and forward a “Request to Return” within 7 days of the receipt of delivery.

The current forms for initiating a return which are to be used for the Goods Return Authority process are:

  1. Request to Return Damaged Goods
  2. Request to Return Goods for Credit
  3. Handling Fee Acknowledgement

Goods Return Policy

In summary, our returns policy (other than for damaged products) is as follows:

  1. A Goods Return Authority is required for returning any Climat Trade Centre Victoria supplied product.
  2. Where you simply wish to return a Climat Trade Centre Victoria supplied product that is in good condition, you may do so and receive a credit against subsequent orders from Climat Trade Centre Victoria only if you return the product within 30 days of delivery, and provided you satisfy the following conditions:
    1. You first obtain the written approval of an authorised employee of Climat Trade Centre Victoria;
    2. The Climat Trade Centre Victoria supplied product is in its original condition; and
    3. You agree to pay to Climat Trade Centre Victoria a handling charge of up to 10% of the price paid or payable for the Climat Trade Centre Victoria supplied product.
  3. You may also cancel an order, or part of an order, in circumstances where we have not yet delivered the Climat Trade Centre Victoria supplied product as long as the following conditions are satisfied:
    1. You first obtain the written approval of an authorised employee of Climat Trade Centre Victoria; and
    2. You agree to pay any cancellation charge, being a genuine pre-estimate of Climat’s Trade Centre Victoria loss, as determined and specified by Climat Trade Centre Victoria.
  4. If an order is rejected at the point of delivery by you when Climat Trade Centre Victoria has met the terms of your order, a 10% handling fee will be payable by you.
  5. Returns of previously installed equipment will not be accepted to the extent permitted by law. The decision to repair or replace faulty or D.O.A. (dead on arrival) equipment is at the sole discretion of Climat’s Trade Centre Victoria Service Department and is subject to these Guidelines and the Standard Conditions of Supply.

Our intent is to treat each request in a fair and equitable manner, however we do defer to the procedures set out in these Guidelines and in our Standard Conditions of Supply.
